Angie Harmon

Worship Leader

Angie has been a member of Cavanaugh since August of 1997 and served in her role as worship leader since 2010.

Angie is originally from Corning, Akansas. She was raised in a Free Will Baptist home, attended a Free Will Baptist church, and was saved at Camp Beaverfork at the age of nine. She attended Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College where she graduated with an Associate of Arts in Business. It was there that she met and married her husband, Will. She feels her greatest accomplishment was marrying Will and being able to raise three children. They have also been blessed with two grandchildren.

Angie never planned to be a worship leader, but God has been shaping her for this role since she was young. Music has always been a central part of her life. Angie was blessed to be born into a family rich in both spiritual and musical heritage. She began playing the piano in the first grade and continued through high school. Growing up, she and her siblings often sang and performed for events and churches.

One of Angie's fondest childhood memories is gathering in her grandparents’ house for a night of music. Family and friends would pile into their tiny living room with instruments, food, kids, etc. It wouldn't be long until the house was full of music, laughter, giggling kids, and the smell of food permeating from the kitchen. Those were her first memories of offering praise and worship to God: singing the sweetest of songs in harmony led by her heroes in the faith, her Grandpa Archer, her dad, aunts, and uncles. There would often be tears and even a few shouts!

Angie is humbled to serve in her capacity at such an amazing church. Her desire is that together we can continue to learn what it means to love, praise, and worship our amazing God. He is so good!

Things Angie loves other than Jesus: family, the Arkansas Razorbacks, sports/fitness, and of course, music.
