Worship & Word

At Cavanaugh Church, worshipping God is at the center of everything we do. We worship by regularly coming together to sing praises and study God’s word as His people.

The goal of our worship services is to communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ in the best way possible and to help people see God in a real way. We work hard to make sure our worship services are dynamic and relevant.

We offer both traditional and contemporary worship styles. Traditional worship begins on Sundays at 9:00 AM. Contemporary worship begins on Sundays at 10:30 AM. Before service, we invite you to enjoy coffee and other refreshments in the church lobby.

Midweek prayer service begins on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM.

Children’s Worship

We offer our Wee Worship nursery for toddlers and children up to four years old.

For children age four up to the sixth grade, we offer children’s worship in Kid's Territory, a complete children’s service incorporating music, games, and kid-friendly Bible lessons to engage your children and teach them truths from God’s Word.

Our children’s worship area provides safety and security with a single entry point and secure check-in through KidCheck.

FAQs

How do I get to the church?

We are located at 2828 Briarcliff Ave, Fort Smith, AR. Click here for directions.

Where do I park, and where do I go from there?

We have specially-marked guest parking spots close to the building just for you. Once parked, you can follow the signs to either of our worship center entrances where a member of our First Impressions team will be ready to greet you, help with children’s check-in, and show you to the worship center.

Will I have to say anything, give anything, or be singled out in any way?

We do not ask our visitors to wear name badges or stand up to be introduced. Nor do we ask you to contribute any money to the offering if you do not wish to do so. All we ask is that you fill out a Connect Card with your basic contact information so that we have a record of your visit and can get in touch.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. People wear everything from jeans to suits and from pants to dresses.
